1. Ensure that you know your basal metabolic rate (BMR)

This is very important as a first step in the journey of slimming down adequately. BMR is quantity of calories your body requires to function optimally. You can determine your basal metabolic rate by using the BMR calculator.

2. Drink lots of water

The good thing about water is that it has no limit or overdose, which means you can drink as much as you want and the flip side being that it will probably increase the rate at which you visit the restroom. Water helps to expedite the rate of metabolism and aids the evacuation of waste from our body.

It also helps to suppress the urge for food. So instead of drinking sugary juices during meals that adds calories to your body, you can take only water for maximum effect.

3. Exercise your body

Exercise is vital for anyone that wants to go down on the weight. You don’t have to exercise or overwork your body like you are going for the Olympics before you get result, rather, you can choose any form that suits you at a leisurely and enjoyable pace.

5. Avoid junk foods like they are rank poison

Junk foods like the ones you eat at fast food joints can be detrimental to your health. Such foods are usually low on nutritional value and high on calorie content. Such foods include snacks like burgers, roasted chicken, barbecue, factory processed fruit juice etc.
