A high IQ replicant called K was specially made to police the other replicants on behalf of the LAPD as the “blade runner” K’s assignment includes conducting investigation and during the course of his job, he discovered that contrary to earlier held believe that replicants can’t reproduce, it became apparent that replicants were actually capable of procreating on their own.

It was a major discovery that was capable of jeopardizing the existing harmony between humans and replicants because the humans would felt threatened. His boss ordered him to every trace of such evidence so it won’t get to the open but k had ideas of his own and was determined to get to the root of it.
