Playstation 4 warning! This device may keep you at home all day long!

When PlayStation 4 debuted on November 15, 2014, millions of game lovers around the world went agog in excitement as they anticipated the game consoles to hit the shelves, while those who decided they weren’t going to be the patient dog had already made orders much earlier, so they could be among the first to enjoy the thrills PS4 game console was going to offer.

Based on the producer’s tradition of always improving on graphics and animation with each upgrade, then the hype for PS4 wasn’t misplaced at all since it was certainly going to be an improvement over PS3. In addition, there has been a general consensus that Sony’s PS4 was much better than its arch rival the Microsoft’s Xbox.

Based on all these facts, it didn’t come as a surprise when by the close of June, 2017, a massive 63.3 million PS4 consoles had already been snapped up worldwide.

The PlayStation 4 placed a lot of emphasis on integration and social interaction with other devices which includes the ability to play games off console on PlayStation Vita or other supported devices, the ability to stream games online or to friends. There are also changes in the game controllers.

Other features include the PlayStation 4 has include a Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 ports, another auxiliary port is also included for connection to the PlayStation camera, a motion detection digital camera device, a mono headset that can be plugged into the DualShock 4 is also added with the device.

The Video and audio output options is essentially the HDMI TV and optical S/PDIF audio therefore there is no need for the analog audio and video output which is becoming outdated anyway.

Another special feature of the PlayStation 4 is the newly introduced “rest mode”, which enables the console to go to sleep, thereby, saving power and equally allows game players to immediately resume where they stopped without having to wait for the console to reboot as was the case before. It can also download content while still on the sleep mode.

Different interesting feature that was added to the PS4 a new light bar that can display that can display different colors. The function of this light bar is to indicate the strength or weakness level of the actors in the games so the game player could either change them or be more cautious.

The PlayStation 4 is so captivating that it could keep you indoors for the whole day and yet you won’t be bored or even remember that you’ve skipped both breakfast and lunch!
