World’s Most Crazy Tourist Attractions

Tourist attractions can be diverse and choices certainly differ.

If you think that people are only attracted to beautiful sand beaches, scenic islands, waterfalls, safaris, wild life and all the rest, then you are yet to face reality.

The world has got lots of creepy, bizarre, disgusting and even outrageous places, and lots of people are traveling great distances just to encounter them.

You may think that this is stranger than fiction but here are the hard facts below.

1. Island of the dolls, Munecas, Mexico

You must not attempt to make a trip to this island if you are faint hearted. Located on the outskirts of Mexico City, is this creepy jungle littered with old and decaying dolls that hung on trees and branches.

Legend has it that the dolls were actually the embodiment of the spirit of a girl that got drowned in a canal within the forest.

2. Temple of Rats, Deshnok, India

This is not a scene from a horror film but actually an existing temple that is now a sanctuary for rats. What makes it more ridiculous is that these rats actually well fed and as a result has grown in numbers to over 20,000 strong!

It was the result of a legend the locals believed in that the rats were the reincarnated spirits of a certain goddess family.

3. Iceland’s Phallus Museum, Reykjavik, Iceland

Can you beat that, a penis museum actually exists; like seriously? Sure, within the city of Reykjavik is a museum that houses a large collection of as many as 200 different male organs of mammals preserved in transparent glass jars for tourists to scrutinize!

4. Bubblegum Alley, San Luis, United States

Chewing gum can be a cool spot but building a high made of sticky bubble gums? Well, it could be attractive from a distance with its colorful outlook.

5. Capuchin Catacombs, Palermo, Italy

Now this is not a zombie movie, this actually exists in the city of Palermo in Italy, and lots of tourists throng to this place to meander through an incredible eight thousand well preserved mummies under one roof.

Some of them are even poised as if they are going to hug you in an embrace!

6. Yunessun Spa Resort, Japan

Have you ever allowed your mind to wander stupidly to the extent of envisaging the idea of bathing in a Jacuzzi filled to the brim with your favorite drink?

Maybe your mind is not dirty enough if you haven’t thought of such an idea. Japan’s Hakone Kowakien Yunessun Hot Springs Amusement Park and Spa Resort offers such “luxury”.

You just name your drink and the Jacuzzi gets flooded with it for your beverage bath.

7. Prada Boutique, Valentine, Texas

Who in his right senses will build a boutique right in the middle of a desert? On a second look, it may not actually be what it seemed and the advice never to take things on their face value comes to fore here.

The boutique is actually the work of two German artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset who wanted to pass a message and in collaboration of Miuccia Prada, they situated the store right there in the desert close to the town of Valentine. It is actually a demo Prada store.
