Hiro is gifted as an uncommon talent in being tech savvy and along with five other kids of like minds including Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fred and Go Go Tomago, together formed the Big Hero 6.
Hiro had to overcome critical challenges that bordered on his small physical nature and high academic standards of the school he was attending etc. as well as the onerous task of saving their locality from some invading aliens. At some point while they were following a lead on a new enemy through the tunnels of San Fransokyo (a fabled city that is obviously coined from the merging of Tokyo with San Francisco) they fell into a fatal trap that was set for them but Hiro had to combine his intelligence with the body of his robot Baymax to get them out of the dangerous situation.
