Wonder Woman is a 2017 super hero film that is based on the DC comic book that beards the same name.

It is the fourth film in the DC extended universe that centered on the Amazonian warrior princess named Diana.

The movie was first premiered in Shanghai on May 15, 2017 and later released in the United States on the 2nd of June, 2017. It cost its producers $149 million and has a running time of 141 minutes.

The Plot

Wonder Woman told the story of a fearless and brave Amazon princess who decided to join forces with an American pilot Steve Trevor, who she saved after his ill-fated plane crashed in the Amazon and with the Germans in hot pursuit of him. He revealed to her about a Great War (the Second World War) that was threatening to destroy the planet.

Princess Diana wanted to use her immense extraordinary powers to quell the war. Having grown up among a primitive tribe of great female warriors and had never seen a man in her entire life until she saw Steve Trevor. But before she could be of any help, there seemed to be a lot of hurdles she will need to get past.

Critical Review

The popular film review site Rotten Tomatoes ranked the movie as the no.1 among 50 best superhero movies of all time. It equally polled an excellent 92% rating from fans that made their opinion known on Rotten Tomatoes.

Wonder Woman made a very impressive showing and scooped a staggering $821 million globally which placed it among the highest grossing films of 2017. The producers are riding on the wave of its blistering run and have already planned a sequel that is planned to be released on the 13th of December, 2019.
